INSULIN TRAVEL COOLERS
That keep your insulin at fridge temperature

Insulin travel coolers review

This article is reviewing insulin travel coolers that keep your insulin at FRIDGE temperature. It means insulin travel coolers you would need for the unopen insulin intended for future use. Your currently in-use insulin vials, pens, or cartridges, do not need to stay at fridge temperature. Room temperature storage is enough for them, and other insulin bags and pouches are more suited in that case! Check them out in THIS article!

Here’s our selection of 2020’s best insulin travel cases that will assure you to keep your insulin at FRIDGE temperature. Check out their respective features, prices, pros and cons, and easily find your favourite one for purchase.

We’ve classified them into 2 categories: insulin cooler bags and cases, and powered insulin travel coolers. Both categories are suitable for keeping insulin cool at fridge temperatures while traveling. Choice really depends on the kind of travel you’re planning (access or not to a freezer, access or not to electricity?), the capacity you need, your finances and, of course, personal taste.

And, in case you need a reminder of the basic insulin storage rules before we start reviewing insulin travel coolers, it’s all in the following article:

INSULIN COOLING BAGS AND CASES (1)

Insulin cooling bags and cases that are able to keep your insulin at fridge temperature pretty much all work with a freezable ice pack system. In order to use them properly and assure your insulin is safe while you’re traveling, you will need to have access to a freezer very regularly (at least once a day). Most of them assure your insulin is kept under 8°C degrees for at least 10-16 hours, and some of them even go up to 35 hours!

Their system is very efficient, and you can always use MedAngel Temperature Sensor, or any waterproof thermometer, to constantly control the inside temperature and not worry about your insulin’s safety.

While regular access to a freezer can be limiting for some, it perfectly fits the needs most of us have. Besides, Insulin cooling bags and cases tend to be less expensive than Powered insulin travel coolers. But, if you’re not sure you will have access to a freezer at least once a day during your travel, we do recommend you get a Powered insulin travel coolers rather than insulin cooling bags or cases.

Here’s our selection of the best insulin cooling bags and cases we’ve found on the market:
